The modern foreign language that we teach at St. Peter’s is French and we offer a curriculum for the children to develop a number of language skills, in particular:
- To take part in conversations about various everyday topics to promote effective communication
- Understand the words and phrases that we hear in French
- Read and understand the French words and sentences that we see
- To know the French grammar rules, for example, un/une
- To write grammatically correct sentences about the topics that we study
