Our aspirations for Design Technology
Design Technology provides many opportunities to further a range of skills using exploration, creativity and problem-solving.
The children will be able to investigate materials in order to understand how things work before thinking of innovative ways to recreate them with an intended purpose and target audience in mind. They will learn to plan and bring their ideas to life with perseverance and determination.
We aim to develop and enrich each child’s creativity and imagination.
Throughout school the children will become confident and skilful individuals who can explore, create and master techniques, materials and tools.
Furthermore, we aim for the children to leave school with an enjoyment and appreciation of design technology and that the children will continue to develop their techniques, creativity and intrigue beyond their time at St Peter’s.
