St. Peter’s is a primary school in the heart of Hinckley, Leicestershire. We have a single class in each year group, welcoming children into a nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage and delivering a balanced education until the children leave us aged 11 at the end of Year Six.
We maintain strong links with St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, situated just yards from the school, and are very fortunate to benefit from an active parish community who are highly engaged with our school. We are similarly fortunate to benefit from an incredibly dedicated Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) who, through the nationally recognised quality of their fundraising, support a wide variety of initiatives in school.
We work in partnership with the Nottingham Diocesan Education Service and St. Thomas Aquinas Trust to ensure our curriculum exceeds the requirements of the National Curriculum and is underpinned by our strong Catholic values. We also work in partnership with the Thomas Estley Teaching Alliance to continually refine and improve the quality of education we provide.
For the academic year 2018/19 we are part of the Thomas Estley Learning Alliance (TELA).
In September 2018 we converted to an academy with all Catholic primary and secondary schools in Leicester/Leicestershire. St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.
